Hendre Roelink
Is a full time professional Storyteller, Writer, Creative/Persuasive Writing Facilitator, Personal Writing Specialist & Educationalist focusing on student motivation and engagement, especially that of male students.
Over the past 20 years, Hendre has worked, performed & presented in over 200 Secondary Schools both State and Private throughout Victoria and has worked with an estimated 50,000 students.
During this time Hendre has developed numerous programs that have proven to be very successful and well received in schools. These include:
- Storytelling Performances
- Creative/Persuasive Writing workshops
- Male Well Being workshops and seminars for male high school students
- PD days for teachers in the areas of creative/persuasive writing, engaging male students in the classroom & the use of story in the classroom as an effective educational medium.
Hendre has also completed several highly successful Artist in Residencies working with students to create, edit and publish a book for their school library.
He has also created and presented storytelling workshops and performances for storytelling festivals both in Australia and overseas. All have been very well received.
As a fully qualified teacher and full member of the VIT, Hendre seamlessly combines his skills as an educator with his creativity and storytelling prowess.
